Siege of the tower of Vada: Sigismondo’s encampment with tents in foreground. Fighting, with lances, pikes, crossbows and battering rams with roof cover. Four galleys off shore. Raid on horseback. Trumpeters ride in front with banners display the Malatesta arms of helmet topped by two profiled elephant heads. Badly smudged.
Initial P(Ostera frugiferis), white vine-stem border with stylized flowers.
